Ombrea shares TotalEnergies' multi-energy vision. This is essential if we are to meet the challenges of food and energy sovereignty. Our expertise in agronomy, climate, biology and soil sciences enables us to work on several types of agri-energy: agrivoltaics, which has been at the heart of our expertise since 2016, solar energy and methanization.
Thanks to our project design tools, we can determine during the development phase which technology is best suited to the crop, the animals, the farmer's itinerary and the farm machinery. The height and spacing of the panels and the sensors can be adapted to the needs of the crop in question.
Our simulators model the benefits generated by the installation of agrivoltaic technology on a given plot. Thanks to the agronomic study carried out upstream, we are able to compare the micro-climate created by the structure with the optimal conditions for crop development. This modeling takes into account all the characteristics of the area concerned by the project, in order to optimize both the services rendered to the crops and the production of solar energy.
To guarantee the services provided and ensure that agricultural activity is maintained, agrivoltaic sites are regularly monitored and recorded in a report. Overhead and underground sensors on the sites enable us to monitor the plots in real time. On a day-to-day basis, dynamic solar technologies are controlled by an algorithm that orients the modules to offer conditions that are favorable to agricultural development.
Developed and used by our teams, they enable us to model the needs of plants and animals, as well as the climate, throughout the project. These tools enable us to create an adapted design and management system.
Designed for farmers, the application enables them to monitor the climatic parameters of protected plots in real time. It centralizes the information collected by the sensors. This data is used for agronomic monitoring for precision farming.
Climatic data from the plot is continuously measured by a set of sensors. All this information is collected in real time and is the input data for the module control algorithm. This data enables us to provide the best micro-climate for the plant.
