Total Quadran and Ombrea reaffirm their commitment to the agricultural sector

A synergy of know-how at the service of farmers

Farmers, confronted with extreme and recurrent meteorological hazards, are more and more subjected to strong constraints which put their productions at risk (episodes of drought, hail, frosts, threats on the yields and quality).

The technology developed by Ombrea ensures optimized management and protection of field crops against weather variations. Total Quadran will develop and build the projects. This alliance will enable us to meet these challenges and support agriculture in its energy transition.

Precision technology to boost agriculture

The consolidation of the partnership will enable the integration of Ombrea's dynamic shading technology and innovative artificial intelligence-based solutions into Total Quadran's solutions, which are complementary tools that address targeted issues, such as

- Intelligent sensors installed on the plots to collect data. They will allow to refine the needs of the soils and the associated treatments.

- The OmbreApp application, a real decision-making tool. It provides access to personalized data on crops protected by the Ombrea solution, allowing farmers to fine-tune watering or adjust daily work on the farm.

Thanks to this unique "dynamic" agrivoltaic technology, Total Quadran and Ombrea wish to reconcile the world of agriculture and energy.

"By consolidating this partnership, we reaffirm our desire to accelerate our collaboration with Ombrea and to support the deployment of its innovative solutions with our expertise in terms of project development and construction. Together, we are looking forward to an ambitious deployment of new agri-voltaic projects to address the diversity of challenges facing the agricultural sector," said Thierry Muller, CEO of Total Quadran. "We will also launch a pilot project in the Aude region of France to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Ombrea solution.

"This new commitment underlines our firm commitment to democratize access to these tools for farmers who want to protect their crops," says Julie Davico-Pahin, co-founder and CEO of Ombrea. "Dynamic agrivoltaics, which places agronomic know-how at the heart of the agricultural project, will then be able to demonstrate its efficiency for an efficient and resilient agriculture facing the challenges of transitions.

Total Quadran and agrivoltaics

Total Quadran is incorporating consultation with the agricultural sector into its strategy and is seeking to develop agrivoltaic installations using cutting-edge technologies in this sector. This is reflected in partnerships with developers of innovative and complementary solutions, such as Ombrea and Next2Sun, and an agreement with InVivo, France's leading agricultural cooperative group. The objective is to develop solutions adapted to the agricultural world by targeting the farms most suited to this type of technology in order to provide definite added value in terms of agricultural production.
